What should Bangladesh do to export more manpower

Bangladesh is the eighth-most populous country in the world with more than 170 million populations. In Bangladesh overseas employment plays a pivotal role in poverty reduction and to ensure economic stability. Following steps should be taken to increase manpower export:

·     Produce qualified and skilled workforce by providing quality education and training.

·     Enhance language proficiency for workers. Set up institutions and provide training to improve language skills of workers.

·     Government should provide job placement services and financial assistance to the workers.

·     Explore new job market for Bangladeshi workers and take steps to sign G2G agreement with different governments to create safe and legal migration channels.

·     Monitor the working and living conditions of Bangladeshi expat workers to ensure that they are being treated fairly and not being subjected to exploitation.

·    Keep regular communication with the expat workers to ensure that any problems are addressed in a timely manner. Negotiate with the host countries for better working conditions and social security for the expat workers.

·     Develop a comprehensive database of the skills and qualifications of Bangladeshi workers to match them with job opportunities abroad and identifying new markets.
